Mr. Budd Saunders. Budd is a Korean War Vet, He and his wife, Nancy, live east of Elkins. Budd and Nancy are very well educated. Budd is just short of a PHD (He said he didn’t want to write the dissertation to complete it). Budd was a lecturer on Western Civilization and History. He wrote a column in a local paper for 10 years. Nancy has an Ivy league Education, her grandfather was a Southern Baptist Minister, her father was George A. Miller, thought to be one of the fathers of Cognitive Science and a published author of several books. Nancy’s mom wrote children’s books and Nancy herself is a published author.

Budd and Nancy had one daughter who passed away from complications, at an early age. They have a Great Pyrenees who is a child to them.

Budd is 82, he had an accident some years ago that left him with a broken back, he walks looking at the ground and he is also on Oxygen. Nancy has RA and is also being treated for cancer.

They live in an old home, the original part of which is deeded from 1839. Budd and Nancy didn’t ask for help, so they are very thankful for anything they get.

Here’s what they said would help them out;

Clean the house

Vacuum and shampoo the carpet

Their Bed needs adjusted (I would like to see if we could get them a new bed, but I need to verify first)

Un jam their paper shredder

Move some plants out side

Clean up brushes, tree and weeds outside.

Some large items outside he needs put to the curb for pick up

Re stain the ramp by the front door

Some computer help

If you would be interested in helping with this, reply back to this email, by 12 June 2017. This will give us time to make any adjustments and plan accordingly. If you have a group you would like to get involved please let me know. I’m going to plan this for 17 June 2017. From 7 to 12. If you can help, we will have a quick meeting at 7:00 am, the day of, in the south parking lot of Cross Church in Springdale. It is a 45 minute drive from there. I’m sure we can easily get together the things we would need to clean, cut and help them out.

13 HOURS sets the record straight on what happened during a night that has been shrouded in mystery and controversy. Written by New York Times bestselling author Mitchell Zuckoff, this riveting book takes readers into the action-packed story of heroes who laid their lives on the line for one another, for their countrymen, and for their country.

13 HOURS is a stunning, eye-opening, and intense book...but most importantly, it is the truth. The story of what happened to these men...and what they accomplished...is unforgettable.

Come hear Kris speak on; "GOD and Combat"

Kris "Tanto" Paronto

  • Former Ranger, 2nd Battalion, 75th Regiment
  • Security and Military Consultant
  • Hero of Benghazi Attack

Kris Paronto - “Tanto” as he is affectionately known in security contracting circles - is a former Army Ranger from 2nd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment and private security contractor who has deployed throughout South America, Central America, the Middle East and North Africa. He also worked with the US Government’s Global Response Staff conducting low profile security in high threat environments throughout the world.

Mr. Paronto was part of the CIA annex security team that responded to the terrorist attack on the US Special Mission in Benghazi, Libya, September 11th, 2012, helping to save over 20 lives while fighting off terrorists from the CIA Annex for over 13 hours. Mr. Paronto’s story is told in the book “13 Hours” written by Mitchell Zuckoff and his five surviving annex security team members.

Mr. Paronto was born in Alamosa, Colorado and obtained his Associate Degree from Dixie College (now Dixie State University) in St. George, Utah, Bachelor’s Degree from Mesa State College in Grand Junction, Colorado and Masters Degree from The University of Nebraska at Omaha. He served 4 years in the US Army and an additional 4 years in the US Army National Guard reaching the rank of Sergeant then becoming a commissioned officer in 2003. He started contracting for Blackwater Security Consulting in 2003 and continued to deploy on various security contracts, to include the Global Response Staff until 2013.

Mr. Paronto has been involved in security operations in hostile environments for over 10 years. His team’s involvement with the September 11th, 2012 attack on the US special mission in Benghazi, Libya was paramount in the saving of US lives and assets. He is a proven leader, teammate and friend to those who have deployed with him, and a devout father to three children.
